Think of the personalities and level of enthusiasm you want. Hire those people that fit your criteria and don’t just settle. 

Once you have a great team, continue to grow the culture you have created. Get to know your employees and show you care about them. 

  • What are they looking for in a job? You might be surprised because money isn’t always the top priority. Millennials are looking for different things in life than baby boomers are and somehow you need to consider all the people on your team.

  • Job flexibility might be important to some of them. People got a taste of working from home or working longer hours and less days. Are you able to adapt their hours?

  • Being part of a team is often key. What do you do to build a strong, happy team?

  • Job satisfaction is incredibly important. Do your employees have pride in their work and see the end results of what they do? Do you celebrate their accomplishments with them and offer them opportunities for growth?

Meeting these needs of employees often results in greater productivity and a more dynamic workplace, making it more enjoyable for your employees to show up for work as well as for you.
